Changing The Way People Think
Posted on September 4, 2015

Starr Dobson was kind enough to invite me on her radio show: ‘Changing The Way People Think’ – Episode 12, 08.14.15 –

We talk about the value of meaningful recreation and social supports for mental wellness. Plus, I share my thoughts on the artificial division we have created between mental health and physical health.

[HINT: Your Brain is Not a Hat.]

You can find it here (interview starts at 08:35)

Also, while I was in the office I did a Mental Health Minute for CTV news.
I missed it when it aired on TV, but it should be posted here soon.

My mom saw it. She said I wore the wrong shirt.
Apparently folks don’t take you seriously if you wear plaid.

Next time I’ll stick to solid colours.

I’m very excited to be heading to Newfoundland tomorrow. I’m doing a presentation for the 44th Annual Recreation Newfoundland & Labrador Conference. I always enjoy going back to the island that taught me humility.

Here’s a clip from PTTO that explains why I’m such a big fan of Flow.

I’ve been spending the winter studying clawhammer banjo & breaking SUP surfboards. Hang in there folks. It’s almost spring.

Sisiboo & Bear River
Posted on March 3, 2014

I can’t believe I’m drinking the last of my Sissiboo Coffee.

I picked it up from Jon & Erin – the same folks who run The Rebekah in Bear River, NS.

When they’re not roasting fair-trade coffee, Jon & Erin host music shows; like the one I played with Acres & Acres on Valentines’ Day a couple weeks ago.

I had a great time –  & now I’ll have to go back for some more beans.
