I’m off to Liverpool (NS) to pitch Paddle To The Ocean to some music industry folks. And I’ll be playing bass as part of Steve Gates’ band. He’s showcasing on Friday night.
I’m playing in Lunenburg on Sept 27 at The Rum Runner Inn. I’ll be sharing the stage with Acres & Acres + Morgan McDonald.
Also – I’m opening for Jont at The A-Frame in Ketch Harbour on Sept 29th,
This weekend is full of Acres & Caledonia shows….should be a blast!
We had a great day of recording this week in the shed. Ian, Kris, McKay & myself worked on the soundtrack to Paddle To The Ocean. Gates stopped by for quality control towards the end of the day. I’m very excited about the results.
I’m playing at the Full Circle Festival next weekend (July 7). I have a solo set on Saturday at 2pm, then I’m playing bass for Acres & Acres around 10pm.
Happy Canada Day!
I’m happy to be playing a show at the Atlantic Paddle Symposium, Friday May 11th. I’ll be mixing the music with some preview episodes of Paddle To The Ocean. This is going to be a special show, with Ian Bent helping me out on Keys & vocals. See you on the water!
Also – Steve Gates is now on tour in the US & Canada. He’s coming to your town…
Ever wonder why ribbons & bracelets don’t actually address the root cause? Check out this article by Chris Benjamin.
Tim Bosquet ain’t no slouch either.
I’m playing some stand-up bass for Mr. Brownrigg & Mr. Legere tomorrow evening at The Bus Stop Theatre (8:30pm). Mel Stone is going to sing sweet harmonies. It truly is good friday.
In conjunction with Canada Water Week, I’ll be doing a talk about Paddle To The Ocean on Tuesday March 20th at Rouge’s Roost (7pm).
Also – congrats to Kelsey Thompson for winning at the Water Walker Film Festival for his documentary ‘Locals Only’.
I received a bit of great news last night. The video we made for ‘So Fine‘ won Best Amateur/Short Paddling Film at the Reel Paddling Film Festival. This is great encouragement for us to keep working on the documentary for Paddle To The Ocean.
I’d like to say a HUGE thanks to Aram & Kelsey for making this video happen. We had a lot of fun making it! Also- if you read those credits at the end, I had a lot of friends helping out as well.
I’m going to New Brunswick for some shows with Acres & Acres. Ian’s having a baby, so I’m his stunt double.
These brilliant fellows have generously contributed lots of music to Paddle To The Ocean, and Locals Only. I’m really happy to be playing bass for them.
I hope it still looks like this in NB:
Kelsey and I are working away on the Paddle To The Ocean documentary. Fortunately Ian Bent & Kris Pope have agreed to work on the soundtrack.
It’s great having such talented friends!
